10. What is a house party?
We got the invite to the Channel O House Party and most of us wondered: what is it exactly? Will there be a red carpet? Music? A program of events? Interviews? WHAT?
It was a nice departure from an ‘event.’ Just a good ol’ House Party
9. But having said that, when you get invited to a House Party, what DO you wear?
You have to be glam enough for the cameras, but not look like it’s the Grammys.
Loved seeing those who got it right (Rhecks, Dj Exclusive, Tiwa Savage) and those who got it wrong (lips sealed)
8. Everyone at that event came ready to have fun and all looked good.
But a special Tosyn’sTen10s Shout Out to Damilola Adegbite and Linda Ejiofor, who just glowed.
7. Cupcakes and Champagne
Now back to the house party. The drinks and small chops flowed, but my favourite, which I had quite a few of, were the cupcakes. Nicely made, different flavours, and would you believe, lasted till we went home?
6. Dance/House Music
A downside for me was the music.
For the most part, parties should be about dancing. We couldn’t really dance, though, because the music switched from house music (for the longest time) to mixes with Naija music.
‘We didn’t dance’ a lot of the people at the party complained to me.
5. Burna Boy fan here!
I guess everyone now knows.
It was really cool meeting him and getting a photo op.
Of course, my former wing-woman, Gbemi, had to ruin it by introducing me to him as, ‘Tosyn. She likes you.’
4. I spotted the EME crew, including Wizkid and his manager, Godwin Tom.
I like that even though he and Osagie are no longer working together on those terms, they still maintain a cordial relationship.
3. Banky W and Mo’Cheddah
Now, I spent quite a bit of time chilling with Banky at the event (turns out I owe him tea), and one of the things I found out is that he just recorded a song with Mo’Cheddah. which will be out on her own album.
Banky… Mo… *strokes chin*. Should be an interesting song.
2. Denrele
Here is a special TosynsTen10s shout out to Denrele!
His energy is out of the world, and his professionalism, even in the midst of fun, is commendable.
Channel O made a good decision hiring him, that’s for sure.
1. Everyone
The Channel O House Party was a well-attended one that saw everyone from artistes (Lynxx, Brymo, Omawumi, Skales, Ms Jaie), to radio hosts (Toolz, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, IK, Mannie), to DJs (Zeal, Jimmy Jatt, Spinall), to Producers, TV Personalities, Record Label Executives, Publicists, Managers and everyone!!!
