The World Cup is on… ope o, for some of us that love it. For those who don’t, sorry o.
But as the second round kicks off, I’m just wondering…
1. Will RVP let us know he is really superman? I mean, other events have overshadowed that spectacular opening goal but let us not forget when he revealed himself for a split second. We know you’re Clark Kent, boo.
2. If I hug Suarez, will he bite? I mean, Suarez must be so depressed right now. The memes, the jokes, the fines; but can we find out why Suarez still bites? And I’d love to hug him, but I smell too darn good!
3. Did Spain ever ‘experit’? They won their final game and hindsight is 20/20… perhaps they should have started Juan Mata against Netherlands. But in the build up, could anyone have ever seen them losing 5-1 to Netherlands?
4. Did the Ghanaian witch doctor bind the wrong Ronaldo? We heard our Ghanaian brothers bound Ronaldo and yet, with an injury and a poor outing, he still managed to score against them. Perhaps they should have bound the Americans?
5. Is Osaze the Prodigal Son? He had been left out of the Super Eagles squad for a while but he came back and when he came on against Iran, he changed the game, then scored against Bosnia. Well then…
6. What’s eating Victor Moses? I thought he would be our shining star but he has been quiet. Will he excel against France and score our winning goal at the final as I have predicted?
7. Can Neymar get any hotter? #QuestionForThegods
8. Is it breaking news that USA qualified for the next round? I mean it was on CNN! You do understand why though? These guys just started playing soccer and made it through, where England, Spain and Italy couldn’t.
9. Which #RedInBrazil will triumph? The Manchester United players like Wayne Rooney, Nani and Mata are out, but the likes of RVP, Fellaini and Januzaj are still in.
10. Will the officiating get better? From the first whistle (Brazil- Chile), the officiating has been dodgy. I thought Chile got robbed on that one. Even Nigeria has benefited from dodgy calls like the disallowed Bosnian goal.
