Now that the World Cup is over, here are the things we can do…
10. Delete ‘Ole Ola’ from our playlists: Let us be honest, we never really caught on to this song the way we did with previous World Cup songs like ‘Time for Africa’ and ‘Waving Flag’. Thankfully, there’s no need to hang on to this any longer!
9. Go back to Google for hotness: Every game provided at least one hot guy (like Neymar or Ronaldo) and one hot girl (usually a spectator). Sadly, no more games so it’s back to google for our dose of heat! Shame.
8. Win cash a different way: ‘Predict and Win’; every Tom, Dickson and Harry did this. I admit even I did (covers face).
Well, nothing other than to predict other than who Suarez will bite next or how many games Manchester United will win under Van Gaal. Now, we have to go back to other ways to win cash.
7. Go back to Africa Magic: Many a television remote got hidden during the games and people watched stations that started with 2. Not any longer! Dust off the remote control and try other channels, especially the very popular Africa Magic.
6. Watch Britain’s Got Talent: And speaking of trying other channels, might I recommend ‘Britain’s Got Talent’?
It has Simon, amazing talents (Great and ROTFLMAO) and it’s not a bad way to spend an hour.
5. Call our parents: Mums and dads were a bit neglected during the World Cup because right after work was the game and then another game and then ‘Oh, too late now.’
Thankfully, no more games so go right ahead and make that call!
4. Eat at home: A lot of us ate at viewing centres during the games, and soon, the kitchen became that place we walked past. Time to dust off the pots and pans and figure out how the microwave works again!
3. Actually study and work: So many offices suffered during the games. Let’s face it, when we weren’t rushing off early to catch a game, we were discussing the previous games instead of filing, studying or paying attention.
No more distractions folks, let us work (or study for those of you in school).
2. Remember we have partners: This is sort of for the guys but also the girls who love football. Our relationships have been slightly neglected and it is time to bring back the love!
1. Focus on #BringBackOurGirls: And speaking of Bringing back… can we please go back to thinking about and fighting for the girls whose lives will never be the same? #BringBackOurGirls. We won’t forget!
