Spider-Man star Tom Holland suffered a mild concussion while filming the upcoming Marvel film Spider-Man: Brand New Day, temporarily halting production on the highly anticipated blockbuster.
The incident occurred on set Friday, reportedly during a stunt sequence, according to Deadline. Holland, 29, was quickly taken to the hospital for evaluation and treatment. Fortunately, sources say the injury was minor, and the actor is expected to make a full recovery within days. In the meantime, production is pausing out of precaution as the team reassesses the filming schedule.
No other cast or crew members were injured during the mishap, and producers held a meeting shortly after the accident to determine how to proceed with the shoot.
Holland sustained the injury during a physically demanding stunt. Despite the scare, he and fiancée Zendaya made a public appearance over the weekend at a charity event, suggesting the actor is already on the mend.
Filming for Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently underway in Glasgow, following earlier production work elsewhere in Scotland.
The film is slated for a July 2026 release, though it’s unclear if the recent delay will affect the timeline.
