Toke Makinwa returned for a new episode of Showmax’s The Buzz, and she was taking no prisoners. She had the best group of guests to discuss the hottest tea from week 5 with her. For episode 8 of the exclusive show, she hosted Creative Consultant and entrepreneur Laura Imou, actor Kunle Remi and celebrity chef Kelly Sampa. They shared their opinions on the wildest and weirdest moments of the week.
She ran down the week’s highlights from the head of house game, nominations, Saga’s Deputy HOH choice, and the strikes. Other highlight moments include Angel’s Top 5 men, Pere and Tega’s bump and grind, and the spicy under-the-sheet moment between Angel and Sammie. Laura joined Toke to discuss the week’s highlights, and she had a lot to say.
The Week’s Highlights
Laura immediately dived into Tega and Pere’s sexy moment, saying she has seen the spark between the two since the first week. She noted that if Tega wasn’t married, we’d have seen more of the wife and mum of one letting loose. She then stated that even though she was happy that Liquorose won the HOH game, she was disappointed with her rule as she thought the dancer was weak. Laura also said Liquorose’s save and replace option showed that she wasn’t bold enough to stand by her decisions.
They also discussed Sammie and Angel’s clandestine relations under the sheet. They asked the big question on all our lips – what happened there? As far as Laura is concerned, Sammie is confused. However, it would seem Angel is the 26-year-old’s first choice as he told Ebuka during his eviction speech that he hoped they could be more out of the house.
The Ever-Revolving Ships
Popular actor Kunle Remi joined the ladies to discuss the relationships, friendships, and confusion-ships. They all agreed that they love the bromance between Cross and Michael, as well as Angel and JMK’s friendship. Kunle shared that he loves Cross’s character development from regular guy to this season’s entertainer. He noted that Cross’s breakthrough came during one diary session, and he’s now on the lips of ladies in and out of the house.
They discussed Nini and Saga too. They all agreed that Saga seems to have lost his game, but Kunle maintained he’s not doing anything off since Nini only has a boyfriend and not a husband. Laura thinks their relationship is one-sided, but Toke believes Nini is just being cautious. Laura also thinks that Maria is trying to align with Liquor because of her fanbase. Still, the alpha-female was also helpful to the HOH. Kunle agreed that Liquorose failed a bit with being Head of House as she isn’t a natural-born leader.
The Gbas-Gbos Moments
Celebrity Chef Kelly Sampa joined them to discuss the hot tempers and fights this week. He delved straight into the conversation, saying Maria’s tiff with Boma over speaking during the light-out is rooted in jealousy. Laura agreed that Maria finds everything about Angel annoying but maintained that she had the right to ask Boma to take the conversation out of the room.
Kunle does not like the Nini and Saga dynamic because he thinks the former is playing with the latter’s emotion. He said Nini is giving Saga the green light only to switch to red when they are supposed to be moving with speed. Laura’s own was just that they’ve already had a ‘lover’s tiff’ with no relationship. She also thinks Saga needs to respect himself. Chef Kelly agreed with Laura that it’s a game, taking all bets off the table.
Stand-out Moments Of The Week
They discussed Michael’s theory that all the girls in the house are horny. Chef Kelly immediately says, ‘body no be firewood na’. Laura agreed with Michael that if they take out the house’s cameras, people like Maria, JMK, and Jackie B (Mummy Jackie) will get down and dirty. She’s looking forward to the reunion to hear all the damage that Cross would do after the house.
They discussed Angel’s rating of Boma’s kissing abilities. They all said that they feel bad for Boma and that Angel is probably just tired of him. Toke then insinuated that the two may have engaged in the act of cunnilingus, and Boma was good there but not with kissing. Kunle teased that he’ll open a kissing school and give Boma a scholarship to attend.
To end the show, they voted their MVP for the week. Kunle and Chef Kelly chose Whitemoney for his consistency. Laura and Toke chose Cross because he’s an entertainer that has managed the game and his emotions well.
