The governments of Oyo and Osun States have reportedly appointed a former governor of Lagos state, Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso.
A statement confirming this news was made in Ibadan by Festus Adedayo, Special Adviser to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Media.
The appointment was confirmed on Tuesday, August 28, 2012.
LAUTECH which was established by the old Oyo State in 1988 is jointly owned by the two state governments.

Well,I fink d so-called nigerians politician should stop such appointment ASEWAJU who happen to had govern lagos state 4 two team,one time a senator and now a VC….why not giving another person d opportunity to lead.it’s crystal clear now that power and authority in Nigeria is been shared within some calibre of people,we dont have to shy away from d truth this is simply ungodly.though asewaju bola tinubu is a successful man which anyone will dream off but let called a spade a spade;it ll rather be better when other Nigerians is giving such an opportunity.
my brother daso idowu i share in your wisdom but we cant ignore the fact that honor is given to whom it is due. Tinubu is a hard working and successful person open crrativity in transformation. i personally vote his appointment is for good transformation based on what he has really done. he that is called has something to do. ahead ahead my great leader and mentor.

I reason wit u emeka but the fact never change.let 4get about our individual parties affiliation and we should condemn @ the due time.fine he is a leader who had in the past contributed immensely to the Nigeria politics and all western state;lagos state in particular.but we should provide rooms of opportunity to other who are ready to serve and stop giving chances to a particular group people to enrich themselves.Asiwaju as an elder stateman I think should stay focuse for the betterment of all western state rather than vying 4 the seat of a VC all in the name of compensating 4 his good work,it’s only God that can reward human.let be wise Nigerians

@Aguocha,Idowu n d rest..i’ll advise dat u read bw d lines b4 commenting. He was made d ‘CHANCELLOR’ not ‘Vice CHANCELLOR’. Anybdy cud be a chancellor but its usually bestowed upon royal fathers. Thr’s a big difference bw chancellor n vice chancellor.while d former is more of a patron d latter is just d Acting personnel in d University.just like in a parliamentary govt whr u hv d ceremonial pres. & d Prime minister.

@jonbeezy nd @sunrays am sowi 4 d misconception but I fink we youth should try as much as possible to open our insight to see more than what we saw or been told from our politicans…politics so far so good destroy many things in our dear country Nigerian even in d Education sector that’s why Nigeria is lagging behind in every sector…I can’t but wait to see another oxford university in Nigeria as Asiwaju bola tinubu was now appointed as the new Chancellor of LAUTECH but it will rather be a thing of shame if there’s sky-rocket increment in the tuition fee of the institution as ready done in lagos state by the incumbent governor of the state….
