Singer-songwriter Timaya headlines the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 Powered by Star Music for the first time ever this week with the music video for ‘Ekoloma Demba’.
MTV Base VJ Ehis invites Rhythm FM OAP Toke Makinwa into the Official Naija Top 10 studio to discuss the week’s hottest music videos. Burna Boy’s former number one ‘Run My Race’ sinks to second place in this week’s chart after two weeks in the top slot.
Illbliss and DJ Xclusive both move up one space, to number 7 and number 3, respectively, with ‘I’m Sorry’ and ‘No Time’. Former number one ‘Tell Me Something’ by D’Banj drops two more places to number 5, while Olamide’s ‘Duro Soke’ slips one place to number 8. Rapper Sound Sultan is stuck tight at number 10 with ‘Natural Something after debuting in that position last week, while Dammy Krane is locked down tight at number 9 with ‘Xteristics’ – also for the second week running.

Every week, the Official Naija Top 10 is put together by an elite judging panel of Nigerian broadcasters, music specialists and tastemakers, working with MTV Base to pick the winners and losers in the week’s chart. On the panel are Onos Ovueraye (Bella Naija.com), DJ Humility (Rhythm FM), DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Xclusive (Cool FM), Big Time (Rhythm FM), DJ Caise (The Beat FM), Toolz (The Beat FM) and Osagie Alonge (Nigerian Entertainment Today).
This week’s Official Naija Top 10 premiered on MTV Base on NTA on Friday 12 July, and can be seen onMTV Base (DStv Channel 322) on Tuesday 16 July @22.00 WAT, on AIT on Tuesday 16 July @ 21.30 WAT, and on STV on Thursday 18 July @ 18.00 WAT.
