Goya Menor has won his first-ever Headies Awards with ‘Ameno Amapiano (Remix)’ featuring Ghanaian producer – Nektunez.
Ameno Amapiano (Remix) beat Bella Shmurda’s Cash App Feat. Zlatan & Lincoin, Rexxie & Mohbad’s KPK, Mohbad’s Feel Good, and Naira Marley’s Koleyewon to win the Best Street Pop Artistes at the 15th Headies in Atlanta, the United States, on Sunday, September 4, 2022.
The smash hit which samples “Ameno’ by French new-age musical project Era, dominated music charts in December 2021 into the early part of 2022.
Although the song was initially taken off some music streaming platforms in January 2022 over copyright issues, it also dominated the ‘World Digital Song Sales’ chart released by Billboard on January 5, 2022.
