
The Nigerian Paralympics contingent is making the country proud over in Rio at the 2016 Paralympic Games. Unlike their able-bodied counterparts who only managed to win one bronze medal in the football event, the physically challenged contingent has shown that they’re better athletes.
Team Nigeria is currently ninth on the 70-nation table, having won seven gold medals, two silver and one bronze medal.

Roland Ezuruike, Paul Kehinde, Lauritta Onye, Nwosu Ndidi, Bose Omolayo, Flora Ugwunwa and Lucy Ejike have all won gold, with the latter breaking the World and Paralympic records in the power-lifting event.
It’s safe to say that with the four days to the end of the competition, Team Nigeria still stands a chance of winning more medals and continue doing the nation proud.
