For the first time in the history of BBNaija, Big Brother took a break from watching over his guests to go on vacation and the housemates had to go navigate the house and weekly activities without his guidance.
Kiddwaya won the challenge to become the Head of House for the fifth week on Monday and was given a special mission – make sure the housemates don’t realise that Biggie is on vacation. Biggie promised him a special prize if he succeeds in keeping his secret.
As a way of calling his attention, Biggie used a special dial tone to let Kiddwaya know when he should go to the diary room.
During the week, the housemates had to play their games and tasks without Biggie to instruct them, and it was a lot of fun. Several housemates played the host of the games, including Trikytee who hosted this week’s wager task.
The diary sessions also took a unique turn. Since Biggie was not around, the housemates had to play ‘Biggie’ to each other for this week’s session. Each housemate picked who they wanted as Biggie and they answered questions given to them.
A shocker they also received was a video Biggie played for them of Ozo whispering, which is against the rules. The housemates got worried as they wondered what it meant. They also began to ponder the many rules they may have broken while Biggie was gone.
In the end, it was a good week, or so they thought. The Betway Arena games and all the tasks were done with the housemates winning several prizes for their efforts.
Biggie returned to the house on Sunday to the delight of the housemates. But did he come bearing presents or punishments?
Sadly, it was the latter.
Biggie started off their reunion by assembling them in the lounge to play a video of some of the naughty things they got up to while he was away. Erica and Ozo earned a strike each for flouting Biggie’s “No Whisper” rules.
Kiddwaya, Tolanibaj and Erica were also punished for breaking the Head of House Lounge rules. Erica had slept in Kiddwaya’s bed while Tolanibaj left the HoH lounge to go sleep in Prince’s bed. Big Brother issued each of them a strike making it Erica’s second strike.
Both Erica and Tolanibaj were also barred from participating in the HoH games for one week while Kiddwaya was barred from participating for two weeks. They also can’t be selected as deputies during this time.
And it doesn’t end there.
The housemates won’t be getting hot water in the bathroom for a while and they won’t also be allowed to boil hot water to have their baths. The duration of this punishment will be dependent on the housemates’ behaviour.
Biggie ended his address by congratulating Praise for winning the Betway Arena Game but announced to him that he won’t be getting the usual pampering privileges that comes with the win.
