Popular TV series, The Big Bang Theory has got the green light to air on American TV network, CBS, for two more seasons.
The sitcom is in its 10th season and negotiations to agree on a renewal with Warner Bros. had been ongoing for months.
That renewal has now come through, thanks largely to the core characters that started with the show agreeing deals with the studio.
Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar and Simon Helberg reached an agreement last month, thus allowing for what is now expected to be the sitcom’s final two seasons.

There’s still some negotiations to deal with, though, as deals with two more major actors – Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch – who have become regulars in the last seven years remains to be agreed on.
While the original five earn as much as $900,000 per episode, Mayim and Melissa currently earn $175,000-$200,000 per episode.
Parsons and co however agreed to a $100,000 pay cut according to reports, in order to free up money in the budget to enable a deal with Mayim and Melissa.
The Big Bang Theory was created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, going on to become one of the longest-running series on prime time television.
It has won a total of 54 awards since its inception, including nine Emmys.
