Ireti Doyle is a veteran actor in the Nigerian movie industry – Nollywood, with over 20 years experience. She has been on stage, presented her own a TV show, worked as a scriptwriter, and is a renowned film actor.
Her portfolio as an actress is expansive and impressive. With several awards and accolades under her belt, it is obvious that she is remarkable at her craft.
In 2015, she won the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in “Torn” at the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

1. She was born Iretiola Olusola Ayinke on May 3rd,1967 in Lagos State. A native of Ondo state, after her primary education, she attended Christ School, Ado-Ekiti.
2. She holds a Degree in Theatre Arts and Mass Communications from the University of Jos. During her stay in Jos, Ireti learnt the Hausa language and now speaks it fluently.
3. Ireti had her first child at 19, and now at 53, she is a grandmother.
4. Ireti met Patrick Doyle on a movie set and the two would get married. The two have now been married for fifteen years. Patrick Doyle is a movie director/actor who was popular in the 90’s for his roles as a pastor or a religious leader.
5. She began her acting career in 1995 in a television series titled “Riddles and Hopes” produced and directed by the late Mike Tasie.
6. While working on her career as an actor, she was anchoring television shows like; “Today on STV” and “Morning Ride”. For ten years, she produced and presented her own show “Oge with Iretiola”. Ireti recently revealed in an interview that the show is set for a reboot.
7. She starred in Amaka Igwe’s wildly popular and funny Fuji House of Commotion, as Chief Taju’s troublesome 4th wife, Sisi Caro.
8. Ireti Doyle apart from acting is also a creative writer and has several screenplays to her credits. She was the writer of Amaka Igwe’s popular movie “Tempest” (season one).
9. Doyle has won several awards in the course of her career. She was once nominated in the Best Actress category at the Reel Awards in 1998 for her role in the movie “All About Ere” and has won the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role twice at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2007 and 2009 for her roles in “Sitanda” and “Across the Niger” respectively.
10. She is not just an on screen actor, she has also featured in several stage plays as well- The Vagina Monologues, Olorounbi, The Musical, Hear Word and The Wives.
