Tems is rightly attributed to magic because what she has achieved in a year is nothing short of it.
In December 2020, Tems was embroiled in an international incident in Uganda with fellow star Omah Lay. It seemed almost to threaten her career trajectory. By December 2021, Tems had to her name a NET Honours award, a Grammy nomination, a successful second EP, a top 20 track on Billboard Hot 100 and performing at a sold-out show at the 20 thousand capacity 02 Arena in London. These are just an overview of all that she has accomplished.
We wrote a prediction article last year, but even we admit we were shortsighted as Tems has not only surpassed continental success but an international status unlike any artiste from her generation.
For the first time in two years, Tems is curating all that magic in her first live concert performance, which she calls A Place Called Orange, referencing her second EP titled, If Orange Was A Place. It looks like she’s found it. This concert is on December 16, 2021, at the Livespot Entertainment Centre.
So whether you’re a rebel gang or not, try not to miss the experience of a lifetime and Tems shares more of her magic this Christmas. In her words, “Lagos, all I can say is it will be special”.
