Following the splitting of pairs in the ongoing Big Brother season 9 No Loose Guard edition, Team DoubleKay have put out a statement asking fans not to split their votes between the two individuals but to direct all their energy to KellyRae in order to better the couple’s chances of winning the show.
This comes as a shock to fans, as not many would expect that it’d be the married couple in the house that would be the first to launch individual campaigns, much to the detriment of each other.
They advised fans to rally behind Kassia if she comes up for eviction and to do the same for KellyRae if he gets put up for eviction, but to focus fully on KellyRae if both of them are up against each other. Their logic being that it is better they have one person guaranteed to be in the house till the end of the show than split votes between both of them and end up with nothing.
They also mentioned that coming on the show was KellyRae’s dream and idea, and Kassie came to support him.
While the logic behind their reasoning is visible and understandable, one must also see the dangers it might birth in their progress. For one, the fanbase might become unnecessarily divided with people picking one person to support as opposed to fans going out of their way to vote both.
It’s also important to note that as at the time of writing this article, the statement was posted on KellyRae’s Instagram only. Kassie’s social media handles did not post or acknowledge the statement, though the statement says both managements are aware of the decision.
