Suge Knight has been rushed to the hospital after suffering a panic attack in court.
The Death Row Records co-founder, who has been charged with murder after allegedly running over his friend, Terry Carter with his red pickup truck in Compton, California, on Thursday, January 29, 2015, reportedly began suffering chest pains while waiting to appear before a judge at Los Angeles County Superior Court on today, February 3, 2015.
A law enforcement source told TMZ that the LA Fire Department and paramedics were called to the scene to examine him after the hearing. The LA County Sheriff’s Department also told the LA Times that the 49-year-old star was ‘taken to the hospital moments after arraignment for an undisclosed medical reason.’
Suge – whose real name is Marion Knight – is accused of deliberately striking and killing Terry with his vehicle outside a fast-food restaurant after getting into a fight with him on the nearby set of a movie involving rappers Ice Cube and Dr. Dre.
He has also been charged with attempted premeditated murder as Training Day actor, Cle ‘Bone’ Sloan, was injured in the hit and run incident. If convicted he faces up to life in state prison.
However, Suge’s lawyer, James Blatt, claims he accidentally ran over Terry and Bone as he was trying to escape a nasty attack. Suge has previously been convicted of armed robbery and assault with a gun and has also served time for violating probation.
