Suge Knight has reportedly been handcuffed to his hospital bed.
The Death Row Records co-founder, who was rushed to a medical centre after suffering chest pains while appearing at Los Angeles County Superior Court to be formally charged with murdering his friend, Terry Carter, on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, is also said to be under 24-hour police surveillance at Long Beach Memorial.
The 49-year old star was originally thought to have suffered a panic attack, but family sources claim doctors have since discovered he has developed a life-threatening blood clot.
An insider also told TMZ that Suge – whose real name is Marion Knight – is being given blood thinners to treat the problem.
The music producer almost died from a blood clot in his lung while in jail, for allegedly stealing a camera from a photographer in Las Vegas in November and doctors believe the clots are linked to injuries he sustained when he was shot six times at 1OAK nightclub last summer.
If convicted he faces up to life in state prison. However, Suge’s lawyer, James Blatt, claims he accidentally ran over Terry and Bone as he was trying to escape a nasty attack.
