The nationwide Labour Strike continued in its fourth day and more Nigerians came out en-masse to join the Occupy Nigeria movement with the sole intention of wanting the Federal government to revert the pump price of fuel to N65 per litre.
Our photographer paid a trip to Victoria Island where protesters including Nigerian entertainers made their way from Falomo to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Headquarters where they expressed their dislike for the station’s shameful coverage of the subsidy debate and protests.
Popular faces at the protest include Nollywood actors Kate Henshaw, Uche Jombo, Ufuoma Ejenobor, musicians Sasha P, Omawumi, General Pype, Waje, Mr Kool, Ikechukwu, stand-up comic Ali Baba and DJ Jimmy JATT.
‘We should not give up, we will fight to the end. We voted these people in, we are not their slaves‘, respected politician Pat Utomi said.
Meanwhile, protests continued in other parts of the country – with the numbers in Ojota, lagos, and Abuja totally unprecedented. There is still no sign of when the protests will end as negotiations between Labour and Federal government ended in deadlock tonight.

The nigerian citizen should know dat we are not fighting for subsidy alone but to protect the future of our childrend.let us put an end to this brutality, oppression, self intrest, stilling and there bad attitude ones and for all pls enough is enough let them provide job 4 the youth.
I knw dbanj is not d one responsible for fuel subsidy and he is not d only one who voted jonathan cos jonathan deceived evryone includn dbanj but seriously dese guys need to come out.Even if dbanj doesnt cum out pls where is dr sid, iceprince, wande coal. Are dey bigger and better dan femi and seun kuti even dose dat their albums dont sell or dnt get support frm we still came out. They got a huge ego and if Nigerians support deir next albums dat means say una self dey craze, lets show dem dat we were d ones dat made u a star dat u cant do without us.The reason pple want dbanj to protest is cos dey luv him and dey want him to be on their side,he is d voice of the youth, even just his appearance will trigger more youths to protest.I luv dbanj soo much,i am his die hard fan but when the truth is to be said we have to.
