Stella Damasus reported to have married Daniel Ademinokan, rebukes reports

There have been several reports suggesting that Nigerian actress Stella Damasus and rumoured lover Daniel Ademinokan are married.

The unconfirmed reports state that Damasus and Ademinokan (who separated from actress Doris Simeon in 2011), tied the knot sometime in February this year in New York. It is also being reported that the pair have temporarily relocated to Jamaica Village, Queens, New York and that Damasus is with her two kids who are now schooling there.

But in an immediate reply, the actress, writing in her blog, expressed her distaste at ‘so called journalists and bloggers’ who reported the ‘secret marriage’. Stella who turned 35 yesterday April 24, 2013 was treated to a surprise birthday party in her New York home.

‘I have Been trending for the past two days now. Day one was about people wishing me well and praying for me on my birthday. Day two is now filled with gossip, scandals and all sorts, but that is as far as the so called journalists and bloggers are concerned’, Damasus wrote on her blog.

She also questioned the authenticity and evidence to back up their reports…

‘Truth is, I laughed when I saw some of the blogs and websites quoting and saying things they know absolutely nothing about. Writing things they have heard without concrete evidence, ghosts that cannot show their faces and ask direct questions.

Damasus insists she is not bothered by the ‘rumours’. ‘I really do not care what you say or write, the truth is who God has blessed no man can curse, and if you believe that trying to turn a wonderful birthday  into a global gossip game will make me feel bad then I am so sorry this Stella is not as stupid as you think’.

Throughout the 411 word blog post, Stella Damasus does not outrightly deny she has tied the knot with Daniel Ademinokan.

Before the marriage reports, Stella had been married twice in the past. Her scandalous relationship with Ademinokan hit the tabloids in 2011 when Doris Simeon accused her of ‘stealing her man’.

Damasus and Ademinokan however ignored the tabloids and public rebuke, sticking together, insisting that they are only friends. In late 2012, the pair launched an Abuja based clothing boutique, Code 55.
