To celebrate his 38th birthday, Nigerian rapper and United Nations Ambassador, Michael Stephens otherwise called Ruggedman decided to do things differently.
Since the International Day of Peace 2014 falls on his birthday which is September 20, he joined the Nigerian Youth Coalition led by Rotimi Idowu on a walk tagged #Sweat4Peace to mark both events.
They walked in the rain alongside notable celebrities like actor, Bimbo Manuel; actress, Brycee Bassey; model Ik Ogbonna; actress/model, Adunni Ade and Mavin Records’ act, Korede Bello who all joined in the walk from CMS to the National Stadium in Surulere.
Later this night, Ruggedman will be hosted at a special event to celebrate his birthday tagged ‘Lockdown Night’ alongside top acts like Reminisce and Orezi.

Says who? This walk wasn’t organized by the above mentioned group rather a youth-led organization concerned with the promotion of peace culture in Nigeria named Galaxy 4 Peace. I participated in the walk and am there in the pictures. Journalist especially bloggers should learn how to get their facts right before blogging it. The event was even put up on the http://www.eventbrite.com for people to buy tickets to participate in the walk. The banners, T-shirts are all customized with Galaxy 4 Peace Logo. Admin of this blog, take note and do the needful.
