The US-based comic book giant has reportedly filed a complaint with the OHIC, the European Union body in charge of trademark registration over the new logo of Spanish club, Valencia which is said to be too similar to its iconic Batman logo.
According to reports in Spain, Batman creators, DC Comics are in a legal dispute with Valencia about the fact that the club has a bat as part of its logo.
Meanwhile the Bat in Valencia’s crests, badges and shields have been used widely for almost 100 years, with the team first featuring bat in a logo in 1919, 20 years before Batman arrived on the scene.
