Amapiano is a style of house music common in South Africa following its emergence in 2012.
According to reports, the deceased were the creatives behind some of the biggest songs in the country.
Killer Kau gained national prominence after an amateur video of his song ‘Tholukuthi Hey’ he uploaded on Twitter in August 2017 went viral on the micro-blogging site.
South Africa’s leading DJ and producer, Themba Nkosi aka DJ Euphonik, discovered him on Twitter after the song went viral and took him under his tutelage, produced the hit single ‘Tholukuthi Hey’ and also started promoting him.
Building on the success of the song, the promising star released three albums – ‘After School’, ‘Game Changer’ and ‘Tom & Jerry’.
While details about Mpura are shrouded in secrecy, he was most famous as the voice behind South African hit song ‘Umsebenzi Wethu’.
