Contrary to reports that US rapper Soulja Boy has bought a $55 Million private jet to celebrate his 21st birthday, a spokesperson Greg Miller for the Atlanta, Georgia rapper has said this story is not true.
In a statement released on Saturday, July 30, 2011 the rep says ‘the elaborate rumors circulating about Soulja Boy purchasing a jet for his 21st birthday are grossly over exaggerated and are not true’.
The story of Soulja Boy buying the private jet to mark his 21st birthdaywhich surfaced on TMZ.com on Thursday, July, 2011 was apparently an effort to gather buzz in the news media.
However, an insider in the rapper’s camp says that Soulja boy recently borrowed a billionaire’s private jet, but ‘has no immediate plans to buy one’. The identity of the actual jet owner is unknown.
Soulja Boy born DeAndre Cortez Way rose to the limelight in 2077 with his ‘Crank that’ single and dance moves which ran viral online before signing with Interscope records to release his 2007 platinum certified album ‘Souljaboytellem.com’.
