SoKleva Welcomes Baby Girl

Olaitan Hughes is a happy man! The poet whom we have come to know as Sokleva has a lot to be thankful for this year. First he tied the knots with his partner Yinka; then right in the midst of plans to release a new Rooftop MCs album ‘Drunken Masters” the Rooftop MCs rapper and his wife Yinka received their first baby- a Girl- on Sunday, November 29, 2009

Mr Hughes was on his way home from Hype Nigeria’s end-of-year event ‘Call to Bar’ when he received a phone call that his wife was in labour.

“I’ was not there in the Labour room, but I got there as soon as I heard the news. I was at a show in Caliente and went straight from there” the new father told NET on Sunday after he left Regina Mundi Hospital Mushin where the child was delivered.

And of course his second half Kunle Adeyoola was by his side. “We just left the hospital’ he told NET around 2pm on Sunday

“To think we will be shooting our new video tonight”

To be directed by brilliant director Clarence Peters, the song is titled “Experimental Music”.

Olaitan Hughes, 32, was born on October 16,1977. He got married to his partner Yinka earlier this year.

One of the leading Gospel artistes in Nigeria, Roof top MCs released their first album ‘Shock Theraphy” in 2004, followed by “Minority Report” in 2008. Their third album “Drunken Master” will be released before year-end. Already ‘For my life” one of the singles off the album is enjoying massive airplay on radio and TV.
