Singer Silver Saddih is now planning to re-launch his music career with a new studio album following his release from prison in March 2009.
The former Questionmark act tells NET in a chat last week that his ‘‘music career is something that never stopped; right now as we speak I am in the studio recording, if you listen very well you’ll hear music playing in the back ground. I have almost finished recording my album; I have a single titled kon kon ja bele featuring Wale waves and another song Red light produced by Jesse Jagz.
The phrase ‘watch the friends you keep’ will rightly be of value to the singer after a spending five months in a Lagos prison. ‘‘At that time, I was the CEO of an oil company- purple sky and I had friends who were also partners in the business. Unfortunately, they were carrying out some fraudulent transactions without my knowledge. That was how I found myself in jail in Lagos where I spent five months. I was released after the detectives did their investigations and found that I had no part in the crime’’ he recounts.
Putting the unpalatable episode behind him, he is now working hard to put his career back on track and getting ready to hug the headlines for the right reasons once more. ‘‘I have been in Abuja recording new songs but I come into Lagos once in a while. My contract with Questionmark expired in 2008; and I am currently talking to some other people’’.
