The British Council Nigeria have announced that David Okumu of British band, The Invisibles is doing well, after suffering an electric shock at a live performance gig put together by the council, yesterday Thursday, May 17, 2012.
‘David Okumu of British band, The Invisibles is doing well, after he suffered an electric shock at our concert in Lagos yesterday. David suffered a sprain from the fall in the aftermath of the accident and was rushed to the hospital immediately’, the council wrote on their Twitter page.
The council’s assistant director (arts) Ojoma Ochai says that he will return to the UK today, as scheduled.
The Invisible had visted Nigeria and hooked up with Juju legend King Sunny Ade as part of their build up to the London 2012 Olympics River of Music Festival.
