Having a best friend who you can confidently call a partner in crime and someone who stands up for you even when the world turns its back against you can be very refreshing.
As the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Level Up Season draws to a close, we have witnessed various friendships and bonds blossoming. From the quest for food to the test of true loyalty, housemates have shown us what it takes to stick to one another.
Here are seven BBNaija Season 7 friendships that have gone above and beyond to serve us friendship goals, and we love them all the more for it.
Chomzy and Bella
This season, besides Doyin, Chomzy was the only other girl Bella had a great bond with, and they both shared warm memories in the Big Brother house. After Chomzy’s eviction, she admitted that the housemate closest to her is Bella. She claimed that they shared a bond right from the first week. Chomzy mentioned that she is rooting for Bella and hopes that she wins the prize money.
Allysyn and Doyin
Allysyn and Doyin’s friendship depicts the ups and downs that true friends encounter. They sang, cooked and gisted about everything while they were both in the house, and when they fought, it was never over small matters. Still, they always found a way back to each other, hurts forgiven, and slates cleaned. Doyin, the self-acclaimed ‘house therapist,’ mentioned that she was most loyal to Allysyn during her stay in the Big Brother house. Her loyalty to Allysyn remains even outside the BBNaija house, Doyin claims.
Amaka and Phyna
These two shared a special friendship in Big Brother’s house. They were the official ‘newscasters’, discussing house matters in their uniform (white towels) and going undercover to solve the mystery of the missing condoms. They were hilarious together, and it was hard not to root for them. When Amaka got evicted in a special eviction twist, Phyna shed some tears and admitted that she would miss her a lot.
Phyna and Chichi
We hope it’s not too early to say Chichi and Phyna’s friendship has stood the test of time, at least, as far as the show lasted. From the little misunderstandings to the big fights, these two still make their way back to remain on good terms. When Phyna was head of the house, Chichi was the first person to be saved, and when Chichi became the head of the house, she dragged Phyna past the final hurdle and into the finale.
Chichi and Daniella
Chichi and Daniella are well known for holding frequent gist sessions. They frequently talk about housemates with the best personalities and the best game plans. Chichi removed Daniella from the list of nominees when she had the power to select two housemates to be spared from possible eviction. This act of loyalty got Daniella into the finals.
Doyin and Bella
The relationship between Doyin and Bella passed through some interesting stages. At first, Bella was hesitant about Doyin’s closeness to Sheggz. Doyin soon found herself acting as Bella and Sheggz’s in-house therapist due to their many arguments.
Despite their initial disagreements, Bella and Doyin got along in the house, a friendship the two of them seem adamant about pursuing outside the house. We’ll see how that plays out.
Hermes and Adekunle
The bromance between Adekunle and Hermes existed before the merging of the two houses. It appears their friendship sparked when they both were at the Level 1 house. Hermes used his veto power as HOH to save Adekunle from being nominated for possible eviction as a sign of loyalty, and both made it all the way to the penultimate week in the house.
We look forward to seeing these friendships go beyond the BBNaija house. Which of these friendships are you rooting for?
