World No.1 female Tennis player, Serena Williams has clinched her 6th Wimbledon title after defeating Garbine Muguruza 6-4, 6-4 in the final game which ended moments ago.
Williams, who defeated Maria Sharapova to qualify for the final, was at her best despite trailing Garbine in the early stages of the game.
Garbine Muguruza was appearing in her first grand slam final but couldn’t keep the momentum against the power play of the 33-year-old Serena and eventually fell after 1 hour and 23 minutes.
Serena has now won 21 grand slam titles and she is also the oldest player to win a grand slam. She however doesn’t seem to be slowing down as she is set to go after another title in August when the US Open begins.
