Actor and former President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Segun Arinze has thrown his weight behind actors and musicians who have declared interest in taking up political posts during the 2015 general elections.
According to him, the trend is a good one as he advised the public to encourage the few that have shown interest rather than accuse them of planning to enrich themselves.
‘Entertainers have worked hard, they make money for every show or film or music done; so people’s notion about entertainers going into politics should be erased as they are going there to contribute their own quota and make the necessary change that the country need at this moment.’ he said.
