American RnB star, Trey Songz was in Nairobi for a few days to record his session in the new season of Coke Studio Africa.
The ‘Heat Attack’ singer was said to have caused quite a frenzy online when he rode in a ‘matatu’ in Kenya. And if that was not enough, he topped trends again by strolling around, taking photos and hanging out with the citizens.

Trey posted a photo with a street child who was begging and detailed how he gave away Sh5,000 to the kid. What ensued after the post was a back and forth between fans who debated this gesture.
He also took some very nice photos in the city…

Anyhow, the award winning musician was in town for the fourth season of the Pan African show that saw him collaborate with Kenyan rapper Nyashinski and other African acts like Yemi Alade, Serge Bernard, Stone Bwouy and one of Tanzania’s biggest female singer, Vanessa Mdee among others.

A fan was said to have asked Songz why he was particularly smitten by the Tanzanian femme fatale:
‘Vanessa is great, we got a great song together, has a great chemistry, she loves to laugh and joke even when we was performing having a good time,’ Songz said.
Of course, we refuse to agree that their chemistry did not go beyond the studio after their performance.
