Super Eagles Coach Samson Siasia has been fired by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the BBC reports. We’re told his sack today Friday, October 28, 2011 is based on his failure to take the country to the forthcoming 2012 African Cup of Nations.
According to the BBC, 11 members of the NFF went into a short meeting and the decision to relieve Siasia of his duties was made after its technical committee had recommended the dismissal of the ex-Super Eagles player.
Siasia’s job had been under the knife after he failed to qualify for the 2012 edition of the Nations cup to be held in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
NFF President Alhaji Aminu Maigari was said to have told the board within their short meet that the decision wouldn’t be reversed, according to PM News.
However, sources have also revealed that four out of the 11 NFF scribes are not happy with the decision as they feel Siasia has done way better than his predecessor since he picked up the job as senior coach from Austin Eguaveon in November 2010.
Siasia is yet to make any statement.

sisia deserve to be sacked .He is a fool ,had it been he made use of his initiative he would have known that qualifying his team is the most important thing that he ought to do before applying his useless discipline so he deserve what ever they do to him.

Y shud siasia case b diferent? Amodu Shaibu qualified us 2 world cup yet they sacked him, Christian Chukwu, Eguavon all won bronze in the nations cup and still got sacked. Siasia might not be the best for the “SUPPER” eagle’s job,but hiring and firing is setting no standards for building up a formidable football force. The players are full and fools of themselves,hard to steer like over-fed cows,disgusting on the pitch and certainly not the ideal specimen for any coach who will want to enforce the need reform

Even if the great Austin Jay Jay Okocha becomes a coach in Nigeria tomorrow, the NFF will frustrate, ridicule and sack him.

Sacking siasia is not d problem 2 Nigeria football. Aldo siasia did wrong by suspending players more xpecialy ur no 1 keeper (VE). But den i think the problem is in d NFF. Lets watch Kechi ll still be sacked.
