Co-founder and Managing Director of Sahara Energy Resource Limited, Mr. Tonye Cole in a press conference held at the Elizabeth Events centre on 40B, Awori Road, Dolphin Estate on Tuesday July 12, 2011 unveiled his new idea, ‘The Nehemiah Project’ targeted at encouraging Nigerian Youths on rebuilding the nation with the theme ‘Rebuilding Lives’.
Scheduled for Sunday, July 24, 2011 at the Harbour Point Event Center on Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, the inaugural edition of the event promises to be motivating and entertaining with musical performances by several artistes including rapper M.I.
Speaking on what he plans on achieving, Mr. Tonye Cole stated, ‘a group of well meaning individuals who are committed to rebuilding the society by empowering and inspiring the youths as the future leaders of our country: to discover, explore and realize their full potential’.
Mr. Tonye Cole further explained that he plans on bringing celebrities such as star comedian Ali Baba, renowned footballer Austin J.J. Okocha, Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw – Nuttal and the entertainer D’banj amongst many others to participate in the self-empowerment project. The celebs according to him will be speaking on their true life stories detailing the struggles, the challenges and the triumph in the end on becoming who they are today.
Sahara Energy trades in crude oil, gas oil, Jet A1, mogas and bitumen in various markets around the world. Tonye Cole’s father, Ambassador Patrick Dele –Cole was the managing director of Daily Times Nigeria in 1976.
