PJTK media has unveiled a new platform known as Sabi News, a proudly Nigerian news and entertainment site aimed at informing, educating and entertaining the public with opinions, satire and all shades of entertainment.
Managing Editor, Peju Akande, said: ‘Sabinews.com will not be your usual news site that you visit only when some piece of news is trending. This is a site you will visit every morning just as you would pick up your favourite newspaper because we will have something special every day.’
The site, which was launched on Sunday, May 11, 2014, will feature the writings of some of Nigeria’s very well-known analysts and commentators including Ikhide Ikheloa, Ruona Agbroko-Meyer, Joy Isi Bewaji, Ayisha Osori, Terh Marc, Oris Aigbokhaevbolo, Kaine Agary and Oshoko Bushushu.
‘We are a full-fledged online magazine that has news for everybody. We’ll also be doing things differently. We won’t just be aggregating news‘, says Toni Kan, co-founder of Sabi News.
Columnists to look out for on the platform are: Ayisha Osori (Mondays), Ikhide Ikheloa (Tuesdays), Joy Isi Bewaji (Wednesdays), Ruona Agbroko (Thursdays) Oshoko Bushushu (Fridays) and Sam Umukoro and Kaine Agary (Sundays).
In related news, former Editor of Thisday Newspaper Simon Kolawole has also launched an online newspaper called ‘The Cable‘ which will cater to general interest, political, entertainment and sports news readers.
