Renowned Nollywood star and commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State, Richard Mofe-Damijo, is one celebrity who is used to a lot of negative rumours surrounding him over his long career, many of which he ignores.
But the 50-year-old actor cum politician obviously didn’t find it funny when unconfirmed reports that he had taken a second wife surfaced, spread last week, after an initial report by a celebrity publication.
Proving to be a celebrity who considers his family (and its harmony) sacrosanct, this development apparently touched a raw nerve, prompting an unusual tirade on his page on popular micro blogging site, twitter.
‘Just heard a mushroom magazine published a story that I took a 2nd wife. It’s a sick malicious lie. Their intentions are to cause a crack in my marriage or make me and my family unhappy. The person will have unhappiness, pains and heartbreak. For the reporter and their informant, watch and wait for your own as you get it back in good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over’.
RMD, who survived a ghastly car accident recently in Warri, is ‘happily married’ to former popular TV personality Jumobi Mofe Damijo, who he wed after his first wife May Ellen Ezekiel (MEE) passed away.
