He may have parted ways with his former bosses Psquare, but it seems like Akinmayokun May D Awodumila hasn’t moved on as the pop singer still performs his former labelmate’s songs.
During his performance at the recently held Felabration 2012, at the New Afrika Shrine on Friday, October 19, the pop singer kicked off his performance with Psquare’s ‘Do as I do‘ which features Tiwa Savage and himself.
He then goes on to perform his first single ‘Soundtrack‘ before following with Psquare’s ‘Chop my money‘. He wrapped up his set with his hit single ‘Ile Ijo‘.
What was more surprising was that the pop singer didn’t just perform his own cameo verses off the Psquare songs but the entire songs. The crowd however still seemed to be thrilled as they danced away.
In August 2012, May D cut ties with Psquare after the label boss Jude Okoye released a statement that he had been dropped from Square Records. A month later, the gangly singer announced the launch of his new label Confam Entertainment.
He recently bagged the award for ‘Best R&B Single’ at The Headies 2o12 held on October 20, 2012.
Square Records were also big winners at the awards too – Psquare walked away with the award for ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Best Pop-R&B Album’ after a two year hiatus with Jude Okoye picking up the ‘Best Music Video’ award.

i fink the said songs are originnaly May D’s songs which psquare bought over b4 signin him cos doz sounds are entirely different 4rm d 1s we v gotten 4rm psquare in recent times #JstSayin
When he is taken to court, I hope he has the liver to handle the heat. If they bought it (the songs) from him, then they are no longer his. People need to respect contracts etc. Thee are no grey areas here. My comments are only based only what vochal wrote.
It will explain why he has issues
