It was just the same time when Gucci Mane came out of prison after serving about 2 years when rapper Troy Ave was detained.
The rapper was captured on surveillance video shooting backstage during a T.I.’s Irving Plaza concert in New York City on May 25, killing one and leaving three others including himself injured.
The deceased was identified as bodyguard, 33-year-old Ronald McPhatter, and Troy was arrested and charged with attempted murder and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
On May 30, Troy appeared at Manhattan Criminal Court for a hearing regarding the shooting and according to the New York Times, he showed up for his hearing in a wheelchair after being released from the hospital for medical treatment for a gunshot wound to the leg.
Then he requested a $50k bail, but his request was denied and was held without bail.
Troy has now been released on $500k bail over a month after arrest following the gunfire.
As part of the terms of his release, the rapper who has pleaded not guilty to the murder must wear an electronic ankle bracelet and he’s not permitted to leave New York City. He has also been ordered to stay away from any concerts, bars, and other music scenes.
