Cast: Genevieve Nnaji, Joseph Benjamin, Ahmed Yerima, Joke Silva, Tina Mba, Alex Osifo, Bimbo Akintola, Bimbo Manuel.
Synopsis: When Genevieve Nnaji (Lola) decides to tie the knot with the love of her life Joseph Benjamin (Uzo), everything seems perfect until what was meant to be the best day of their life turns out to be their worst nightmare.
Genre: Drama, Romance
Running time: 110mins
Genevieve’s depth in which she delivers in character interpretation is greatly felt in this movie. Her translation of each role: from an excited virgin young lady to a newly wedded bride, to a traumatized pregnant woman was profound. Much justice was done to the 35mm camera, the director caught the audience with some nice shots that got me clapping and I really need to share:
– The scene with children in the school playground was beautifully captured!
– The seaside, with two men having a conversation and their car parked at the shore.
– The boat that sped across the sea during the conversation.
– The bar scene with Uzo and his boss lady (Tina Mba) and the band playing ‘palava’ got the audience cheering like crazy!
The makeup on Tina Mba who played the role of Uzo’s boss didn’t do justice to her. The lovely actress looked really old and the short hair just didn’t suit her at all. Speaking of makeup, there was a particular shot of one of the actresses that got everybody really disappointed at the poor make over…but I would just say that it all goes to show the fact that ‘not every pretty young lady with a beautiful face has got nice and spotless legs’. Don’t ask me which of the actresses had the spots on, just go see and enjoy the movie like I did!
Thumbs up once again to filmmaker and movie critic, Mamoud Ali Balogun for a well-scripted movie!

Good review Bolanle, keep it up! Nice movie by the way.
Great review! I like the particular attention to details. And yes, they didn’t have to show those legs the way they did. What happened to make-up and camera effects? It was a real turn-off for folks like me who were fans of the actress in question. 😀
U 2 Gud no prob
Just saw the premier on Nollywood TV UK. After this review, I am looking forward to watching the entire movie.
