It gets tenser for viewers as the week goes by at MTN Project Fame West Africa Season 4. Over the weekend, two contestants Princess and Rachael said goodbye as they were evicted from the show.
Last week, the two evictees along with Ethel, Yvonne, Roy and Ese had been put on probation leaving them with one more chance to get themselves back into the competition. But after the six performances, Princess and Rachael were left hanging when the judges saved Ethel and the faculty Ese. Yvonne and Roy were also saved through unfamiliar circumstances as the latter saved Yvonne after a spectacular performance.
Rachael and Princess then performed for once last time and wowed everyone including the members of the faculty and the judges.
On the next day, the last six contestants standing thrilled the audience with an opening performance by rendering gospel group Infinty’s ‘Olori oko’. In pairs, the contestants then rendered other songs from Sunny Ade and Onyeka Onwenu’s ‘Wait for me’ and Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston’s ‘When you believe’.
‘I must say that you all brought your best tonight and even if there were some slight hitches, your performances tonight were very impressive and I must commend you all for making it this far in the competition… you guys are already stars! We have decided to leave the judging to the viewing public to start voting as this competition has gotten tougher so it is completely out of our hands now’, Kwame announced on behalf of the judges.
The last six contestants will now slug it out for the grand prize of 2.5 million naira with a fully loaded Toyota Rav 4 jeep and a recording contract.

Judging from her performance all through the season.
Then Ese and Ruth. Plz! Plz! Judges don’t be partial to award Roy because he’s the only man. The game says: who the cap fits lem wear it. So make a hail while the sun shine.
Monica is realy doing great she deserve one of the prices, but Roy is my favourite to crown as the winner. I love everybody.
It’s Monica! Raw talent. I guess that’s what project fame is looking for. Ruth is also talented. Ese & Ethel have sweet voices, Yvonne, I see as nervous but could do better modeling & Roy, been the last man standing is just receiving favors! If this competition is truly a talent show then Monica should win. The girl is simply good. However, I wish them well.
Monica is superb and really talented in singing and performance but Ruth has a wonderful voice, creative and flexible than all the contestants. The two of them (monica & Ruth) deserve to win this season’s contest. However, Ese has a unique voice, carriage and good stage performance, somehow, over confidence made her trail behind Monica and Ruth in my Judgment. The next person is the Ghananian queen ethel who has a nice and clear voice and perfomed better than the others when the did their own music. The next is Yvonne with a voice like Anita Baker, she is my best in R&B songs but she is still shy on stage. She looks beautiful and can be a good model. The last is Roy who is equally good but not enough to win others.
Boys and girls should not be grouped together for a competition like this. They simply do not have the same voice and carriage properties. Boys should compete against one another and girls should be rated separately when it comes to singing competitions at least for beginners. girls have an edge. It takes a super man with a super voice to beat a girl unless the man is already a made star
Monica deserved to win,she has d gift of moving d crowd.Roy,as d only man also deserved d 2nd position.He has a peculiar voice.Ese,the Big Bold and Beautiful who emerged 3rd was good in almost all her performances.She is good in local songs.Ethel 2 me did’nt deserve the 4th position although she has a good voice.Ruth,the dancer was supposed to emerge 4th.Her weak point is that she screams while singing.Yvonne,d preeti shy girl.I like her because she is herself.She doesn’t ave 2 jump all over d stage like monica or ruth b4 u wil know dat she is a singer.Abeg una don try,i giv una hand.
