‘King of Fuji music’, K1 De Ultimate was one of the notable musicians who performed at the at the inauguration ceremony of Nigeria’s 5th democratically elected President, Muhammadu Buhari.
K1, a regular feature at major political campaigns and rallies in Lagos and card-carrying member of All Progressives Congres, is always a crowd puller and he showed it again at the event which held at Eagles Square.
K1 unleashed his skills and band on the venue, drawing in even those watching from the comfort of their homes with his classic tunes infused with social and politically conscious messages. Other performers included Psquare (who only made a whistle stop) and Korede Bello.
Interestingly, other regulars like Onyeka Onwenu, Timi Dakolo and Sammie Okposo were MIA. We’ve been told the music icon will be around Aso Rock and the new federal government for some time. Talk about change!
