Save for Kendrick Lamar‘s fiery entrance, this year’s edition of of MTV VMAs was largely a boring and lackluster affair.
And though it was a generally forgettable show, this year’s show witnessed a plethora of political statements. From the attendance of a transgender military personnel at the ceremony to Paris Jackson‘s power-packed speech about standing against ‘White Supremacists’, it was a night filled for people to air their thoughts.
Politics aside, one of the major highlights of the night was Kendrick Lamar, who was the night’s biggest winner with six awards to his credit including Video Of The Year for the visuals of ‘Humble.’
Meanwhile, she may not have been at the star-studded show, but Taylor Swift still managed to steal the show early by dropping the music video of her latest single, ‘Look What You Made Me Do’.
