Popular Nigerian entertainers Phyno, Sound Sultan, and Gordons dazzled residents of Enugu on Friday, August 29, 2013 as the Amstel Malta Showdown train halted at the Golden Royale hall.
Dazzling with electrifying performances in concert drama, which was directed by Ice Nweke, the entertainers took turns to leave an unending moment in the minds of the audience that trooped out to see ‘The Rush.’
The concert drama, which was also a fusion of various artistic displays by ballerinas, jugglers, singers, actors, dancers, fire eaters, instrumentalists and comedians told the story of a young man’s journey to success in an exceptional theatrical piece.
Interestingly, 5 young talents who were discovered through an audition process joined the entertainers on the stage.
The newly discovered talents include a harmonica player, a dancer, a singer/voice-over artist, a guitarist and a drama group of six.
Speaking at the event, Phyno said, ‘I’m very glad to be a part of this and have never seen such outstanding display of art in this country. The young talents that featured in the drama also put in their best within a very short rehearsal period. Really, everyone should try their very best to make it for the Lagos show, this is going to blow your minds away.’
The final leg of the event series is scheduled to hold in Lagos on the September 18, 2014 at the UNILAG Sports Centre while the auditions will hold on the September 14, 2014 and September 15, 2014 at the Unilag main auditorium.
