Nigerian music legend, King Sunny Ade turned 70 on Thursday, September 22, 2016.
The septuagenarian had earlier revealed plans to celebrate his special day to Thenetng saying, ‘On September 21, I’ll be having a Gospel Music Night in Ondo State, then on the 22nd my actual birthday, I’ll have a special prayer session with my kids at home and later that day, we’ll have a little house party’.

True to his words, he held a thanks giving service in church and then a house party at his residence in Ondo State.
The party was well attended by his wives, family members and friends including music icon, Ebenezer Obey, the Olu of Itori Oba Fatai Akamo and others.
