Coach of Oscar Pistorius, Ampie Louw revealed that the paralympian could be back in training this week. He said this a few hours before Oscar Pistorius was granted bail in a South African court. ‘I think that will be a very good thing to do, I think just to get his mind clear.
The sooner he can start with a bit of work, the better’ said Ampie Louw on why it would be better for Oscar Pistorius to go back to training. Oscar Pistorius however will not be rushing back into competitions.
Sports giant Nike terminated its contract with Olympic and Paralympic winning athlete. ‘Nike has suspended its contract with Oscar Pistorius. ‘We believe Oscar Pistorius should be afforded due process and we will continue to monitor the situation closely’ Nike said in a statement released last week.
Oakley– an eyewear maker company has also suspended its contract with Oscar. It is reported that Oscar Pistorius makes $2 million annually in endorsements.
The athlete will be back in court on June 4.
