The 2012 edition of The Headies awards cost a whopping $1.5m (approximately N236m), NET has gathered.
The show’s executive producer Ayo Animashaun disclosed this in an exclusive interview with Nigerian Entertainment Today. Animashaun is the C.E.O of Smooth Promotions, organizers of the prestigious awards show.
The figure covers sound, lighting, venue, logistics, plaques and events, according to our findings. And the budget came from mostly corporate sponsors, including MTN, Lucozade, and Verve.
This year’s event was held on October 20, 2012 at the Expo Hall of Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
