
Nollywood actor and Anambra gubernatorial aspirant, Yul Edochie, has said he is on a divine mission to liberate people of the state.
The actor disclosed this at a meeting organised by the Democratic People’s Congress, DPC, to assert his readiness bear the party flag.
Edochie, accompanied by his colleague and campaign manager, Okwudili Oguegbu, were received by the party chairman, Prince Orjiwulu Ikeji and supporters who came to cheer them up.
He said he wants to rescue Anambra people from the hands of selfish and directionless politicians who have over the years thought about themselves and their families, disregarding the youths and their parents.
Edochie added, ‘One thing I have built for myself over the years is integrity, and I will do everything possible to maintain that integrity.’
The Anambra gubernatorial elections hold this November and sees Edochie going head-to-head with singer, Kcee, among other aspirants.
