Popular Nigerian comedian, Fagade Olufemi Ademola otherwise known as Omobaba yesterday lost his car in a fire accident.
In a phone conversation with one of our reporters, he described the incident as a mystery he is yet to understand especially as the car had not developed any fault before the journey.
According to him, he was in company of four friends and on the way to the City People Awards ceremony where he was to perform.
‘We were at G.R.A trying to link Maryland when the driver noticed an unusual event with the battery light. Immediately, he pulled over and we alighted but in less than two minutes, the car was on fire. You need to go there and see how many fire extinguishers we exhausted‘ he explained.
‘I can’t explain how it happened but thank God no life was lost‘, he quickly added.
Earlier today, the comedian had posted on his timeline of the social micro-blogging site Twitter, ‘For dos who has been asking, God saved my life lastnite,my car got burnt,I’m gratful 2 God n tank u guys 4 ur prayers.I will send pix shortly.’, @omobabacomedian tweeted
It would be recalled that a similar incident happened to one of his industry colleagues, AY yesterday in Abuja.
