The much talked Ebenezer Obey and King Sunny Ade ‘Oleku’ concert which will hold on Children’s Day, Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the Harbour Point, Victoria Island is now the talk-of-the-town.
The two Juju music icons recently paid a courtesy visit to Lagos State Governor Raji Fashola at the Lagos Government house where the governor praised KSA and Obey for their contributions to the music industry over the years and how they deserve to be celebrated.
Fashola also disclosed that the concert came at the same time when Lagos State is celebrating its 45th anniversary, KSA his 50th year in music and Obey’s 70th birthday.
Meanwhile, the producers have added two surprise acts to the bill: popstars 9ice and Wizkid. Insiders tell us 9ice will do a joint set with either KSA or Obey while Wizkid will deliver a solo performance on one of the two stages.
The show will be anchored by Gbenga Adeyinka and Moses Olaiya, the veteran popularly called Baba Sala.
