Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, who goes by the mononymous stage name, Olamide has won the Best Rap Album award at the 2022 Headies award.
The 15th edition of the Nigerian music awards took place at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia.
Carpe Diem, which is Olamide’s 11th studio album, won ahead of “Clone Wars Vol. 5 – The Algorhythm” by Show Dem Camp, “Golden” by A-Q, “Mafia Culture, Vol. 2.0” by Idowest, “Providence” by Ladipoe and “Sex Over Love” by Blaqbonez.
The album, which contains 12 tracks, received rave reviews following its release in late 2020.
The YBNL founder featured a star-studded list of artistes in the album including Fireboy DML, Bad Boy Timz, Omah Lay, Phyno, Peruzzi and Bella Shmurda
