All week long, its been a sober mood at OJB’s house for many reasons. On our visit there on Friday, July 22, 2016 we gathered that his brother in-law Jokaynie Ogboka will get married today and OJB who was at the introduction ceremony back in March was supposed to be the chairman of the occasion.

Jokaynie is the younger brother of OJB’s first wife, Mabel Okungbowa, who donated her kidney to help save OJB’s life in 2013.
OJB’s last interview: ‘Some say life begins at 40, I think life actually begins at 50’
He had hoped to live beyond the age of 50, but sadly he died three weeks to his 50th birthday.
Despite all the funds, love from fans, friends and family, many years of pain he went through with the hope of surviving, OJB suffered a terrible relapse of his kidney ailment which ultimately led to his demise on June 14.
Though, his wives politely declined to comment on the OJB’s demise and life afterwards, we gathered and noticed that everyone has accepted fate and moving on with life.
His first son, Lakunle has returned to complete his NYSC while his younger ones have also continued schooling.

IN OJB’s last Interview with Thenetng, he said ‘My first son is a graduate of Unilag, the second one is in her second year, my 3rd child is in OAU studying Mass Communication and the others are all still in school. I look at them and see them as my proud achievements not the Bentleys and Rolls Royce’.
Guess he’ll look down from heaven today and be happy with what he left behind particularly as two of his kids are also aspiring musicians.
No Fields Found.
