OD Is Single Again, But Is He Searching?

When the remarkably talented rapper Overdose told us he was taking off his old garb and stepping up, we thought the only thing he was shedding was his dress code (baggy jeans and oversize T-shirts); but we are shocked to learn he has also dropped his girlfriend.

Reliable sources have told NET OD’s ex is a chubby light skinned lady named Mevis Aiyeju who’s the managing director for an entertainment outfit called Nome Associates.

The circumstances surrounding their break-up remain shrouded in secrecy. But those close to the pair, who were aware of the affair confirmed to us they’ve since parted ways.

However, when NET contacted the rapper who recently returned from South Africa (where he shot some videos for his upcoming album) to confirm the story, he denied breaking up with any lady.  ‘‘I didn’t break up with anybody; I’m cool with all the girls around me. I have heard reports in the media about me breaking up with some girl. Let me set the records straight: I never had any issues with any girl, people just came up with the gist and it’s all over the place. I want you to help me clear that’’.

It will be recalled that David Adoga popularly called Overdose burst into the hip-hop scene in 2001 as a member of respected hiphop coalition SWATROOT. He is currently signed on to X3M music and work on his new album is already underway with singles ‘Alujo’ and if ‘I catch you’ presently enjoying generous airplay.

Now that the Kaduna State born rapper is independent, coupled with his new looks that has got the ladies drooling. We bet it won’t be long before requests start flooding in… Question is: Will the rapper be ready for another relationship anytime soon?
