On Friday, January 12 2011, former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu picked up the presidential ticket to fly the flag of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) at this years presidential elections.
Ribadu was announced the winner at the party’s national convention held in Lagos after a unanimous vote was made by party delegates, as all other contestants vying for the top spot backed down from the race.
Ribadu now joins President Goodluck Johnathan (PDP), Dele Momodu (NCP) and Muhammadu Buhari (CPC) who also are contesting for the number 1 spot in Aso Rock.
